So, that was supposed to be a weekend? I guess I missed the memo.

Anyway, it's been a long weekend (not in a good way), and I'm dreading work and shit (partly because I was AT work all day today), so I watched "Why We Fight" to cheer myself up. Yeah, THAT'S how good a weekend it's been. So then of course I had to watch "Points" to cheer myself up from "Why We Fight", and now I need something to cheer myself up from "Points" -- which has a more-or-less happy ending, for chrissakes. UGH. What is WRONG with me. And a co-worker and friend of mine just got some appallingly shitty news, so now I'm even more depressed for her sake. Way to lose, universe.

On the plus side, I got some Big Bang writing done yesterday, which I should now type up and check my new wordcount. Oh god please let me get to 15,000 by the 26th.

So for the love of God, please distract me, f-list (yoinked from [livejournal.com profile] andrealyn:

Make up a title for a story I didn't write, and I will respond with details of those non-written stories. You may if you like include details, such as pairings or fandom or whatnot.

Ron Livingston. Video Diaries always help.

Feh. I'm sorry the weekend's been shitty.

BoB, "If the Time Were Not Now," because Jeffrey Foucault lyrics always win.

My housemate has been borrowing (and RACING THROUGH) my West Wing DVDs, and she's one ep away from the Jackal. I told her to fetch me when she gets to it. I think that should do the trick nicely.

"If the Time Were Not Now" - totally a Five Things That Never Happened To Easy Company fic, in which anything that hasn't yet gone wrong does (and maybe one time it all goes right).

...okay, and then I googled the lyrics to that song, so now I'm pretty damn sure the fic would have to be Winnix-centric. I think I like the "Maybe every man's heart is a graveyard unkempt / And the lines on his face mark the stones" lyrics better to use in a title, though. Hmm. OH GOD TURN OFF MY BRAIN NOW.

...I think that song wants to be a BoB vid, actually.

This is me totally not discouraging that.

(I have other songs I would love to see vidded! Particularly these two fiddle pieces, one by Eileen Ivers called "Dear Irish Boy," which would be great for all the Irish members of Easy -- which, whoa, I totally put on the Gross Indecency soundtrack! so never mind with the explaining -- and another called "Captain O'Kane," which is just... mmph, so Winters.)

Yup, I know "Dear Irish Boy". I'm not sure that I'm a talented enough vidder to attempt a purely instrumental vid, though.

So sorry that the universe is out to get you and your friends. Fingers crossed that things get better soon.

I don't know what odd cranny of my brain this title came from, but here it is: "Clever Like a Dodo." For fandom, either DW/Torchwood or anything Whedon.

Ick, weekend-that-is-not-a-weekend. Hmm, let's see - how about "Famous Last Words", because for some reason I've got My Chemical Romance jangling around in my brain - and, um, any fandom and pairing of your choosing.

"Famous Last Words" -- is CLEARLY the Captain Jack Harkness fic of the 1960s, in which he gets caught up in all the revolutionary fervor of the era and, bored out of his skull by Torchwood's hippy-dippy phase, decides to blow a few extra lives in a highly scientific sociological experiment to determine precisely what phrasing of insult will incite a drugged-out peacenik to homicidal violence.

...I would read the hell out of that.
