1. I vastly prefer movie!Faramir to book!Faramir. He feels much more human and flawed to me, and I can actually connect to him. Book!Faramir is too perfect and noble and uninteresting.
2. Elves bore me to tears. It took me several tries to get past the first couple of chapters of the Silmarillion because they were all about elves.
3. Cutting Tom Bombadil was the smartest decision Jackson made. Though I do kind of wonder what the barrow-wights would've been like in the movie.

I like Tom Bombadil in the book, but I agree that it was a smart move to leave him out of the movie.

And I have never made it past the first few chapters of the Silmarillion! Though I haven't tried in many, many years...
