I was actually home at sunset tonight, so I lit my menorah. Then I plugged in my roommate's surprisingly tasteful little fake Christmas tree, and we admired the combined Chrismukkah lights for a bit. Holiday spirit, I has it. Well, as much as I ever do, I suppose.
Speaking of holiday spirit, oh hell, I need to finish my Yuletide fic. I revisited the source material today, which helps, because now I remember why I really do love this fandom, even if it's not really the fic I want to be working on at the moment. And, equally importantly, I need to find a beta, like, NOW, so that I know I can send out the fic in my usual state of last minute panic and make sure it doesn't suck. I have 1600 words written already, it'll probably top out at around 2500 or so, nothing epic. Um. I'm probably going to start poking the usual suspects sometime soon, particularly those of you I know to be familiar with the fandom, so feel free to say no if you don't have the time, but fair warning.
Fic. Not sucking. Right. I should get on that.
