Still havem't seen the full 16-minute spoiler clip, mutter mutter grumble grumble, but the Bag-End Inn posted the Merry/Pippin bits, which are the ones I'm most interested in anyway. So, that bit with Merry and Pippin? The I-wanna-go-home-Merry, no-Pippin-that-wouldn't-help bit? Yeah. First of all, kaydee's heart just broke into a thousand pieces, and I am going to be sobbing at this movie, which means that RotK is going to absolutely kill me. Second, hey, doesn't that scene bear a striking resemblence to Frodo-and-Sam-in-Rivendell? Right down to the hobbit theme in the soundtrack, and Merry's expression is a LOT like Frodo's (staring off into space), and Pippin coming up behind him with talk of home just like Sam did. And then the heart-wrenching twist in the new scene: music is corrupted, Merry rejects the offer with really scary doom talk. It's like the mirror image of Frodo and Sam, a darker version of the original Rivendell scene. Brilliant. Chilling. Love it!

Okay, I'm already squeeing about a movie I haven't even seen...

I'm going to sob through the entirety of the next two movies, I can already tell.
