Wait, why did no one inform me that the Doctor actually showed up in one of the recent Sarah Jane Adventures episodes? EVERYONE FAILS. I don't have all that much interest in SJA, though Sarah Jane herself is certainly awesome, but SJA with the Doctor? I am ALL OVER THAT.
(Also, apparently Tennant filmed that AFTER filming his last Doctor Who special, so technically, that's his last work as the Doctor. Asajkhfdalskhaslf.)
Actually, while we're on that subject, I did finally watch "Waters of Mars" a couple of weeks ago. It was rather disturbing, and I like the boundaries they're pushing with the Doctor. The line between him and the Master is very, very thin these days, and I like that they're exploring the creepiness inherent in his character. Deeply disturbing, but utterly fascinating.
The only other thing I particularly cared about was the second-in-command of the ship (can't be arsed to remember the character's name -- the Aussie guy). I spent the first half of the episode trying to figure out why he looked familiar, and then it hit me: VINCE TYLER'S OLDER ASSHOLE AUSTRALIAN BOYFRIEND! Oh, random Queer As Folk reference, so awesome. (Anytime Rusty wants to bring more of those actors aboard the Whoniverse, I would so be okay with that.) So then I spent the rest of the episode being all HI CAMERON! BE CAREFUL CAMERON! DON'T DIE CAMERON! And then he died, and somewhere in the universe, Stuart Alan Jones smirked. The end.
