A couple of weeks ago, I was bored and started thinking about the old chromatic casting meme that was going around a while back. And I thought, man, there is never a bad time to play around with chromatic casting!

So, Inception! One possible alternate cast, chromatic-style, and with occasional genderswapping because love that movie though I do, it is tragically lacking in the ladies.

IT WAS SO HARD TO CHOOSE SOME OF THESE. So many possibilities! Esai Morales as Cobb! Diego Luna as Arthur! Zhang Ziyi as Ariadne! More genderswapping! ALL genderswapping! Etc, etc, etc.

Ah! Okay, you don't watch Doctor Who. Both have guest starred in the most recent series of Who. I haven't seen my Yusuf (Meera Syal) in anything else, but she's adorable and very funny.

Mal (Sophie Okonedo) was also nominated for an Oscar for her AMAZING role in the film Hotel Rwanda, which I cannot recommend highly enough. I mean, it's not a happy movie, but it's very, very good. And tells a story that badly needed telling.

Oh god, these are great. I adored Tom Hardy as Eames, but there are no words for how much I would love to see Chiwetel Ejiofor in that part. That man just radiates charisma. (Also, Sophie Ekonedo! I've never seen her play a part I didn't love.)

Seriously! I mean, this is not a criticism of any of the actual cast, all of whom I absolutely adore. But Chiwetal Ejiofor makes EVERYTHING approximately twelve billion times more awesome by his presence.

Sophie Okonedo was the first idea I had that made me think of doing this. :)
