The news yesterday made me incoherent with utterly impotent anger. So I spent the entire day watching West Wing instead. Yes, I do retreat into fantasy worlds when the real world disappoints me this badly.

That was well said. Thanks for sharing. The news about the shooting was so upsetting. We forget, sometimes, how fragile this democracy thing is. Words building metaphors of violence turn so easily into actual violence. I really hope this is a wake up call and not a harbinger of more to come.
