This day, ugh. Nothing worth posting, just a persistent series of minor irritations that, combined, form a big ball of GRUMP. I am deeply frustrated with my boss, my coworkers, my job, my director, several of my actors, and my production manager. And I have read all of the good Charles/Erik fic on the internet and most of the more-or-less-decent and am now progressing onto the blatantly BAD just because at least I haven't read it twelve times already.

Seriously, my friends. Rec me your favorite Charles/Erik fics, any flavor, preferably with at least a somewhat upbeat ending (I heart fix-its). There's like a 99% chance I've read it already, but I'm desperate for some cheering up, here. And most of my favorite WIPs haven't updated in like a month, it's getting tragic.

AU - Beach Divorce Fixit
Try, Try Again - Erik relives the fight Groundhog Day style until he gets it right.

AU - Mutants, completely different universe
Daycare 'Verse - Charles runs a mutant daycare. I'm exceedingly fond of this world.

Extended Jam - The premise of Extended Jam ... is that mutant rights forms part of the larger social movements that characterized the 50s and 60s.

AU - Human (non-mutants)
Excellent Judgement - Well-crafted humor, hot.

Not What I Was Expecting (So Much Better) Charles is Erik's nanny.

All of these have a not-unhappy ending. Most of them even have very happy endings.

I've read all of those -- "Time to Grow" and the Daycare verse, like, twelve times each -- and they are all EXCELLENT. :)
