If someone were selling pirated CDs and posting them to people, would they arrest the postal workers?

I thought that internet service providers weren't responsible for the content of the websites? Livejournal isn't responsible for the content that we post.

If it's stealing content to make money for themselves, rather than facilitating the sharing of content, that's different. But it's still a pretty amazing kind of case, and is that what megaupload was doing anyway? How?

(A part of me is badly amused that it's New Zealand, too.)
