Back in New York. I have driven many miles over the past few days, but in the end, I've really only traded a very tall mountain in Colorado for a significantly less daunting mountain in upstate New York. Also a large empty house in place of my small shitty apartment. It's very odd being here without my parents. I'm probably going to go slowly insane from the quiet over the next few weeks. Dear god I need a job.

I forgot how NOISY this mountain can be. The one in Colorado was so fucking high up that there was basically no insect life; at night, it was SILENT. This one has the noisiest fucking tree frogs and crickets on the planet, and they do not fucking shut up all night long. Also mosquitos. I really hadn't missed mosquitos.

But it is still very pretty up here, and relatively peaceful. I suppose I can get a lot of writing/vidding done while I'm unemployed and all alone up here for days on end.

*twiddles thumbs*

Congratulations on the move! I'm a big city girl, so the fact that you find crickets and frogs noisy is kind of amusing. (Once, I slept throught a fire down the street, while multiple fire trucks and police cars blazed down the block, sirens blaring.)

MOSQUITOES ARE THE FUCKING VAMPIRIC INSECT DEVIL. If it wouldn't disrupt the entire animal kingdom (and make Jurassic Park impossible), I'd want all of them to die.

Oh, wow. That sounds awful. Then again, city noise just passes by. Those frogs aren't going anywhere. Ever. T____________T.
