I TOTALLY KNEW THAT THE VOICE OF THE SNOW WAS IAN MCKELLEN FROM THE VERY FIRST TIME WE HEARD IT. OH MY GOD.

Sorry, needed to get that out of the way. I LOVE YOU SIR IAN.

So, wait, did Moffat just write his own Wholock crossover? That was totally Sherlock's music playing in the background when the Doctor was impersonating Holmes. And apparently Doyle based Holmes & Watson off of Madame Vastra & Jenny. So is this Moffat's snarky way of making Holmes/Watson canon? Because it made me giggle a lot.

I <3 Clara, and I'm really enjoying this reincarnation-ish storyline, and I'm curious to see where they take it. I'm less fond of yet another companion with a crush on the Doctor, but Clara/Oswin/whoever her next incarnation will be is interesting enough that I don't mind it so much.

The rest of the story was just kind of silly, but in the usual Whovian fashion, so I enjoyed it.

I completely agree with this entire assessment. Clara Oswin Oswald was spectacular, as was the entire Wholock crossover. When he played the music, I was like, "MOFFAT, STOP CEHATING!"

I've never been a fan of the plot of Who Christmas specials. They're all a bit too gimmicky for my taste. But Clara! I'm looking forward to her.
