Running out in a minute to go see Catching Fire, but I just watched this week's Agents of SHIELD episode, and I had to pop in to say -- so apparently the big secret is that Coulson is a Doll.

ALL OF THE CROSSOVERS. ALL OF THEM.
(I mean, I'm assuming he's a Life Model Decoy in Marvelverse terms -- I've been assuming that since episode 1 -- but still. Gratuitous Dollhouse reference for the win.)
(Also, are May and Ward having sexytimes now? I'm actually kind of okay with that. Though I prefer Skye/May myself. And FitzSimmons, obviously.)
