Yeah, so apparently when I locked up the theater office earlier tonight, the latch didn't completely click in the door or something, because an hour later something nudged it open again and the motion-detector alarm went off.

YES, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED IN MY LIFE WHEN MY BOSS IS ALREADY PISSED AT ME.

It doesn't matter how many things I take care of without her even noticing, or how I've improved my game by like 150% in the past two weeks, because the one time a fucking door doesn't shut all the way, it's back to everything I do being wrong.

This may not be useful, depending on your boss, but if you are doing things right and she is not noticing -- would it help to bring those things to her attention? Not, like, "here is a list of all the things I did right, gold star plz!" but if there is a time when you are going over Things what Need Doing, could you add a Things what Got Did section?

If she's focused on your negatives, can you reorient her to your positives?



Also, that sucks. I once got up in the middle of the night to ride across town and make sure that the shop door was locked, because even though the owners had left the door open at least once during my tenure, I knew I'd be fired instantly if it was my fault.
