Probably the best musical my school has managed to produce in, like, five years. I am duly impressed. My friends kicked much ass, Zaxin was less annoying than I expected him to be, and I want to marry about half of the male cast. Including the small child who played Wally Womper. And, yeah, would like to have twelve billion of Ryder's poncy frumpy babies. Just because. And that girl who played Heddy LaRue was pretty damn good to -- who the hell was she?

Incidentally, it's amazing how much cereal you can consume when you're sitting at the computer with the box next to you. Urg. Oh, and while we're on the subject of absolutely nothing in particular (bow down to my transitions!), [livejournal.com profile] uluviel is officially the goddess of songvids. Hot damn. She rocks muchly.

I think that's enough random spammage for tonight...

Annie Weiss played Hedy La Rue. She's a junior, two years accelerated in math, currently taking AP Physics and Mathematics Honors IV with me. She actually has a pretty deep voice for a girl, which is why her acting really surprised me. She's good isn't she? I never would have thought she was the acting type, but she's pretty good.

I loved the show too. I was mentally collapsing with laughter when Sean did his sleazy guy act. I mean, Sean! The straight, upright, clean-cut HUNS president! It's so out of character! Well, technically, it's in character for Mr. Gatch but...

Ryder was also hilarious! Actually, what scares me is how many HUNS people were involved in this production.

Five years. . .let's see, that goes back to 1998. . .better than "Guys and Dolls" and "Anything Goes?" If the Zaxin beat either the lethal combination of Ted and Nate or Me and Nathan, I'll be duly impressed. I guess I'll just have to wait for the video to see (damn being 3000 miles away).

Signed, Me, the guy who lobbied for H2S since 1999, and gets it produced right after he leaves. I don't win. I lose.

The Zaxin itself does not beat you out, as he is an unprofessional bitch, excellent though he may have been in this part. But this show did have the advantage of being the lethal combination of several people--him and Chiara and Maeve and Kenny and Ryder and Annie (who is mini-Maeve!) and Sean-as-a-lech and a few others--rather than just two lethal guys.

Well, here it is, nine-thirty PM, far from the finish of a long day's work/procrastination...ugh.

"Guys & Dolls" was the last truly great musical. Everyone in "Anything Goes" was great, but I don't like it as much as a musical. And the Zaxin was just, well, good at his part. Y'know, a slimy, backstabbing suck-up...
