I was dragged kicking and screaming into it, because a dear friend of mine did pretty well at the NYC auditions and I had to see if he made it on. It's not my fault I got hooked! Damn you, American Idol! I was so proudly anti-pop until you came along.

Yes, he's cute. Yes, he's got an absolutely killer voice. But, despite all that, "American Idol" can and must Die. It's kicked "24" off the air for three weeks, and that is not allowed. Jeebus, at this rate I'm going to be watching the last five episodes of the show over summer vacation. (Stupid "24" addiction. Okay, back to the two papers and a midterm that are ruining my life.)

I definitely am not in the support of knocking off 24 in favor of American Idol. I don't even WATCH 24 and I know American Idol doesn't deserve to replace it, albeit briefly. I'm rather ashamed of my thing for American Idol, actually...

I just read Not Exactly Detached, as recced by fearlessdiva, and wanted to let you know I enjoyed the heck out of it. It was sweet, and I love snarky Dom. Also, I loved your bit about Orlando's shirt. heh (He does wear some scary outfits, doesn't he?) Those small details that were mentioned in passing, instead of being dwelled upon, made the story.

(Also, I'm not a huge Elijah fangirl -and- usually don't enjoy first person point of view, yet I liked your story quite a bit, so please bask in the showers of compliments I am sending your way.)

Yeah, he kicked ASS at the wild card show. The judges basically gave him a standing ovation and even SIMON said he was the best performer they'd seen of all the top 32. ::cuddles Clay::
