My friends list is really boring. It's all like, "Squee! OotP!" and "Look look look spoilers behind the cut augh!"
And I'm all like, "Wow. I'm trying to care, but I can't."
Yes, I own the other books. Yes, I enjoyed them. No, I don't think they're the greatest literature since Tolkien. No, I don't have a copy of the new one, nor do I particularly care. They're enjoyable reads, but I haven't been going out of my mind wondering what'll happen next. I've waited -- what? Two years? -- since the last one, and frankly, a few more weeks isn't all that big a deal. I'll borrow it from some friend or another, and I'll buy it once it's in paperback. Whatever.
I'm also in a really lousy mood for a variety of reasons, which is prob'ly why all the OotP enthusiasm is irritating me so much...
