Rings-Thing and other such babble
Sep. 10th, 2002 09:22 pmFirst: GIP. I have a thing for hobbeatles lately...
Second: lusting over
undone27's Elijah pics, yes I am. mmphgah. There are very few pics that actually make me melt into a puddle of drool, most of those being Scruffy!Dom. But these not only made me drool, they also made me bite my lip very, very hard to keep from squealing incessently like a rabid fangirl. Gah. I never thought Lij would be able to pull of facial hair... Now we just need a photo of Scruffy!Dom and Fuzzy!Lij TOGETHER. Preferably doing something naughty. ;)
Third: I almost forgot it was Tuesday! Rings-Thing time.
LOTR merchandise--where do you stand? Have to buy everything? Nothing? Just the cards, toys, jewelry... Just what relates to your favorite character(s)? What types of merchandise do you think they are overdoing? Any they're not doing enough of?
I'm not big on merchandise, actually. I like gawking at it in stores, and drooling over life-size cut-outs of Frodo... erm... yes. But I don't really buy anything for myself. A friend got me Merry-Pippin-Orc action figures, and I love them to pieces, but I would never actually go to Toys R Us and buy them. If I were to get myself stuff, though, I'd only get hobbit-related merchandise. Especially things like books. With color photos. And potentially slashy quotes. Er. Yes. Almost bought that one. Good thing I was broke at the time.
And just in general, I don't think there's nearly enough hobbity merchandising out there, and far too much of Legolas. ;)
