Okay, so if I, um, fail to show up at my 5-hour rehearsal tomorrow in favor of going to trivetmonger's graduation party, how much will they kill me?

In other words, I need a really good excuse for skipping out of rehearsal about three hours early. Help a sister out here.

My friends list is really boring. It's all like, "Squee! OotP!" and "Look look look spoilers behind the cut augh!"

And I'm all like, "Wow. I'm trying to care, but I can't."

Yes, I own the other books. Yes, I enjoyed them. No, I don't think they're the greatest literature since Tolkien. No, I don't have a copy of the new one, nor do I particularly care. They're enjoyable reads, but I haven't been going out of my mind wondering what'll happen next. I've waited -- what? Two years? -- since the last one, and frankly, a few more weeks isn't all that big a deal. I'll borrow it from some friend or another, and I'll buy it once it's in paperback. Whatever.

I'm also in a really lousy mood for a variety of reasons, which is prob'ly why all the OotP enthusiasm is irritating me so much...
