So I sat down to finish up my
remixredux fic, which is nearly done, and found myself working on a completely different fic instead. Which was supposed to be Remus/Sirius, of course, but now seems to have taken a decided and unintentional swing towards Remus/Peter friendship and I can't figure out how to bring the Remus/Sirius back. And my writing style is completely schizo, apparently, because while the first scene is all farce-ish and silly, the fic has lately developed quite a serious and earnest tone, and I'm not sure how to reconcile the farce with the earnestness, because while the plot is progressing quite logically, the first scene really only works as a farce, but the latest scene really only works if taken seriously, and just...wtf, fic. Wtf. And for the love of god, how do I get the Remus/Sirius back without it sounding contrived?
Clearly, I should go back to the
remixredux fic, which actually has a deadline and is in fact very nearly finished but I'm not sure if I like it anymore, and let the weird fic sort itself out later. Um. My muses are on crack, apparently.

Gah. Now that I look over that, I feel rather pathetic and immature. And cowardly. Ah, well. It's been that sort of evening.
