Ah, the good old days... And I've wanted an X-Files icon for a very long time now, just never got around to it.

In other fandom news...er...yeah. I so love creativity dry spells, when my computer has a WIP open on the screen for days on end with nary a word added to it. Yarg.

So, in the spirit of hunting down a muse of some sort, what's the one fic you've always had planned out but never actually got around to writing? Why haven't you written it yet? Will you ever, or will it die slowly in the dark and dusty recesses of your brain?

Revive your ideas! Let your perpetual WIPs grow to fruition! Grab hold of those damn muses and pin them down until they spit out your story!

I have a Harry Potter WIP that I am still not willing to give up on. An original female character (boo, hiss, I know), Bellatrix' daughter and therefore a relative of Sirius', although she's never really met him. Since her parents were put into Azkaban when the war was ended, she grew up with foster parents. She works with Charlie in Romania, and comes to London after Sirius' death, since the Black house now belongs to her (we know that Sirius is the last of "his line", but technically this girl wouldn't be a Black; she's a Lestrange). The story would pick up maybe around the time of PoA or GoF, with quick flashbacks into her childhood. What I have so far I like (thankfully she's been cooperating and has not turned into a Mary Sue so far), but it's small. Tiny. But perhaps, one day...
How about you?

That sounds interesting, although I admit to an instinctive MarySue!cringe. It's you, though, so I'm less worried. Hmmm. Cool.

At the moment, I'm most pissed off at my lotrips turn-of-the-century anarchist!AU, which has been thoroughly plotted out for six months now but got stuck somewhere around chapter four. Bah.

I miss the X-Files so so so much. Ah, the good old days, when Mulder and Scully were soinUST and Duchovny wasn't an asshole and Carter still had good ideas....
