medical question

I don't know what search term to use to look this up for myself. It's for a fic. You know how when doctors need to look at X-rays and suchlike, they stick them up on a sort of white wall that's really one big light, to see the scan properly? What on earth is that called? A light wall? They do this in House all the time, I've seen it on the X-Files before, I'm sure every medical drama known to man has featured it. It must have a real name.

Oh, others already answered, so I have a story for you instead. I love lightboxes. I had one as a kid for tracing pictures out of coloring books, but it needed huge D or C batteries. When the batteries finally died, my mom showed the sister girl and I how to use the sunlight coming through a window as sort of a natural light box. From then on, we amused out selves taping magazine pages, printed photos and other pictures to the windows. My childhood is framed by little bits of clear tape stuck to glass panes. :)
