Okay, The Martian. So that was awesome. But most importantly, A+++ nerd self-awareness. Major points for having the Council of Elrond reference explained by Sean Bean, the Iron Man gag picked up on by Michael Pena and Sebastian Stan, AND the "space pirate" joke validated by a thoughtful Chiwetal Ejiofor. That's like a holy trifecta of nerddom right there.

Also, the rest of the movie was really fucking good.
