Because god forbid a seasonal gift exchange go by without my creating something in the History Boys fandom. (This is the third year running.) This one was tricky because the source is all about the words, and talky face is DOOM in vids. But I tried! I also experimented with incorporating dialogue from the source for the first time, which was fun, and I futzed with video effects probably more than I should have. It took me a while to settle on a song for this one -- I knew going in that I wanted to use Rufus Wainwright, but finding the right one took time. (It was going to be "Cigarettes & Chocolate Milk" for a while, but I got frustrated at how slow the beat on that was.) Overall, though, I'm rather fond of this, and I very much hope Avendya enjoyed her gift!
But one festivid was clearly not enough, so then I picked up a pinch hit.

I'm just really happy with how this one turned out, that's all. GOD I love that movie.
And I owe huge thanks to
tricksterquinn for looking both of these things over for me, and being awesomely helpful with the bits I couldn't get right. <3
