I love long plotty fics like I love chocolate, except the fics last much, much longer. SO EXCITING OMG. I will have stuff to read at work ALL WEEK. Glee!

And, yeah, one of them is mine. Guys, I started writing this fic more than a year ago. That's kind of ridiculous.

It also needs to be said: tricksterquinn deserves a damn medal for listening to me blather on endlessly about this fic for the past year, and for her constant cheerleading and brainstorming and general awesomeness. And then such_heights also, for looking the whole long dratted thing over once it was done. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

And. AND! I got the SEXIEST ART EVER. I cannot stop flailing over how fucking gorgeous the art is. in_the_bottle and wnnb_darklord are fabulous artists, I don't even have the words.

Because, clearly, the best time to post fic is in the midst of Yuletide. DUH. (Incidentally, if anyone guesses which Yuletide fic I wrote, I will totally write you a fic to the fandom/pairing specifications of your choice. The archive is vast, but the fic I wrote is ENTIRELY PREDICTABLE IN EVERY WAY, so some advantage there.)

In 1919, Harriet Derbyshire was killed while investigating the disappearance of Torchwood Four in Dublin. In 2009, UNIT pulls a dying man out of the Irish Sea with a one-word message: Torchwood. Martha joins up with Jack's team in Cardiff to track down the errant branch of the organization – before a time-traveling race of aliens can change the course of history as we know it.
